- At least five years of experience developing and implementing solutions for test automation processes, tools and techniques;
- At least three years of experience performing, developing, maintaining and enhancing automated test suites;

- Knowledge and experience working in agile software development environment using modern technology stacks, tools and techniques, including: RESTful APIs, open source technologies, continuous delivery, automated testing, microservices-based architecture, and Kubernetes or similar container management platforms; and

Total Systems Solutions Consulting Inc. represents an association of independent IMITS Consultants based in British Columbia. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Software Developer Consultant for the Registries and Online Services, Service BC, Ministry of Citizen’s Services, Province of British Columbia. You must be available to work 100% remote full-time 40 hours per week.
Background
The BC Registries and Online Services (BC-ROS) team administers and supports BC Online and all incorporations and registrations of businesses, not-for-profit societies, cooperatives, personal property and manufactured homes in the Province of BC. These services are provided through a number of channels including in-person, phone and online.
BC-ROS is replacing its legacy applications, including mainframe applications, with modern tech stacks that support a DevOps continuous improvement approach to the delivery of digital services. A new set of BC-ROS agile product teams will develop the new applications at the Province's Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) Lab, a government accelerator for Agile software teams with a strong community of software developers. The Agile team will use the Agile Methodology, human-centered design, open source languages and frameworks, and a cutting-edge enterprise containerization platform.
The successful candidate(s) will be Quality Assurance/ Software Developer for a BC-ROS agile product team, with a team of approximately 7 people, that are developing the new function using the agile Methodology, human- centered design, open-source languages and frameworks, and a cutting-edge enterprise containerization platform. The successful candidate will be reporting to the person designated by the Province Project Authority within the BC Registries and Online Services, Service BC, Ministry of Citizen’s Services, Province of British Columbia.
BC-ROS is undertaking multiple, concurrent re-development projects driven by a deadline for retiring BC province mainframe services and modernizing non-mainframe services. BC-ROS is also adding functionality to its modern application platform to support Provincial commitments, using modern tech stacks that support a DevOps continuous improvement approach to the delivery of digital services. The BC Registries projects utilize agile development.
Availability
The anticipated term of this opportunity is for 4 years starting April 1st. It is expected that the Contractor will work 100% remotely.
